Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assistance and commitment to increasing South African Social Security Company (SASSA) services throughout an engagement while using the company's senior professionals at a strategic planning session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric examinations.

In the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% with the registered pupils while in the training sector.

These learners achieved a commendable pass rate of 86%.
